March 16th North Carolina Meeting

RMTDR guys injector install

Just and FYI - we're all set with a KDP jig. I got it in the mail today. There are only 4 set screws left so if there are more than 4 planning to attend (2 that I know of) we will need to get some more screws. I know CPFF won't have a chance to get some out to us by the weekend.

See you all Saturday. I'm guessing I will be out there by 9:00am. I still need to figure out if I will have a passenger or not.

Take care,

Ryan

Cooker--I wouldn't mind checking mine to be safe if ya wouldn't mind.

Doc, BillH, or Steve--If y'all want I'd be more than happy to bring drinks and hotdogs or burgers for all. Let me know...

steve I thank I am going to go up and spend friday night when where you going to leave George

Kyle i should have a list of hotels by wednesday

We've made arrangements for chips, dogs and beverages. A couple of guys will be bringing venison and smoked fish, for variety. There will be a donation bucket available to help defray the cost of the food. Any extra donations will go into the treasury to throw an even bigger party someday.

Right now I only have one guy staying in my trailer - I have room for 4 more guys with no-one sharing a bed. Called the state park today and I think they might have their showers operating, will verify it tomorrow. If that works out we could split the costs and be down in the $3/night range :) ($16/night total cost divided by who's staying) - I'll have the trailer there friday and saturday nights. The next reservation gets a double bed - after that it's the single bunks for the next three. I'll be leaving Sunfield around 6:00 pm most likely - but I can adjust that up or down depending on when you guys wanted to leave.

I just wanted to post some more info about the KDP containment.

Does anybody have a chain whench (used to hold the pully for fan removal, it's the easiest way I have found, I borrowed one from a friend to do my fix)? CPFF is sending me a set of the tools for fan removal included w/ the newer kits (we have #9 which is one of the originals), but it may not make it here on time. I am just trying to be prepared for those who are interested. If not, it appears someone (sorry I don't remember the name at the moment) has included a breaker bar that is used to wedge between the pully bolts to hold the pully in place for fan removal. I don't know how well it works, but in theory it sould work fine.

Also some red loctite would be nice. I used blue because that is what I had on hand at the time, but I guess red would be better.

I'm sure someone will have a cordless drill.

Thanks,

Ryan

Stevek,

I will be running 75. I am going down the TP and then i'll hit 75 from their not shur where the best place to meet is. Let me know what you think. Do you have a CB? Later

Count me in. It's about 6 hours each way, so I probably won't be the first guy there. Sounds way to good to pass up.

Dennis

I think I need a radar detector for this trip.

Anybody coming from the south want to hook up on the way. I will be coming out of chicago.

Dennis

Any guess how many trucks can be indoors at one time? You said there is one hoist, but how much space for other stuff? I'd like to set my pump timing if somebody has the tools, but with so many trucks are we going to have a space/time crunch? If so I can wait. It will be cool just to meet y'all.

I'll be getting there Friday night sometime (assuming I can find a room somewhere). Any pre-BOMBing get togethers planned?

Looking for west-siders that are leaving Saturday morning to convoy accross the state. The only way I could get Momma to let me go was to tell her I would behave. Seems I've gotten out of hand on several different occasions. If anyone is going early on Saturday let me know.

bighammer, we can get at least 5-6 trucks inside at once. More if needed to work on.

Bill

P. S. As everyone arrives, look for traffice cones. I will try to set a section of the parking lot aside so everyone can park together.

How many of the trucks coming are scheduled to be worked on? Kind of curious. Should I try to get parts I wanted to add or just use this as a time to find out what works best. Any ideas or comments?

I'd like to do the KDP jig fix. Other than that, I plan to meet others, learn as much as I can, and help out however possible. Of course I might throw a few parts in the truck to keep me busy if there is space and time, but nothing is really urgent.

TStetson--I'm guessin that you'll take 80/280/75 so we can meet where 280 and 75 meet. I don't have a CB on this truck but will have the old cell phone--614-946-6536. I'll see if I can get exit numbers or something tomorrow. I should be up there around 7am. Later--steve
