Sorry can't help ya. I can only get the rims for the stick shifts. Are you sure yours is a slushbox? It makes alot more power than some of these other 03 slushbox's around here :-laf .

Hey does a Duramax count? I think the 20's are to small, any idea's Digger??? The 20's are going on the Puller, need new rims and tires, maybe i'll go with the 16's that come with most auto's :-laf :-laf :-laf

Silver 03,

I dont want a stick cause I dont like the looks of smoked clutch and sparks coming out of the bell housing and getting all over MT Morris's track. Then having to watching a red, AUTOMATIC, Duramax steal the show. :-laf

P. S. I enjoyed watching the video before I posted this :D

All I can make out is black smoke. The smoked clutch and sparks must stop once you cross the 300' mark. :--)

Digger,

just cause you post a few pictures with a sled behind your truck dosent mean your a truck puller. I dont claim to be a puller or make big power.

And I know you cant drive 3 trucks at once. Maybe the puller Im building will be a multi engine rail, 1 p7100, 1 vp44 and 1 HPCR. Even though combinded they may only make 600 horse, Ill still be driving all 3  As far as the clutch problems go, they usually start before the 75 foot mark, not stop after the 300. C'mon Digger, you have WATCHED enough pulls to know that. :D

1badplr,

Stock 03 Dodges come with 17 inch rims. Auto or Slushbox. Maybe your old age is taking its toll on your memory? It wasnt that long ago you had an 03 was it? That was before you switched sides incase you forgot that too.

One more thing, If the imports come out with a diesel pickup will you try one of those too? You got all 3 domestics under your belt. And you dont seem to have a problem with an import motor in a domestic truck. Maybe the truck for you is from overseas? :-laf

Steve,

I never said I was a truck puller either. Which truck are you going to make a puller? Who's transmission are you going with Suncoast, ATS, DTT? When you have your truck ready, mine should be ready also and we can see who has WATCHED enough pulls  :-laf .

I wouldn't call the clutch smoke/sparks that Silver03 had at Mt Morris a problem. He was trying a different gear (5th low) if I remember. The manual guys have the option to choose, not just put in D and go.

C'mon Steve, this is just a little bench pulling going on here. No harm intended. Don't get your converter in a bunch.

Back to the original thread. Let's talk about HOOTERS. Who's going?

See ya later I gotta watch some more pulling videos.

Digger

Steve,

BTW,Nice pics. I hooked to that sled once. Never again that thing hasn't been right since 1badplr broke it with his FORD. Yes everyone you read that right he BROKE it with a FORD.

I think he had some pics of it.

I know its just ribbing. Ive been reading your guys post long enough to know that. I intended no harm either. It is prolly a good idea to get back to the thread, dont want to burn up your clutch.

Is your truck gonna be top secret? Can you share anything?

No top secret stuff here. I have paid for it but haven't picked it up yet. It is in Wisconsin. I will pick it up after the wife has the baby.

The truck is a 98 ext. cab LB 5spd 4x4. Stock for now. No big rims this time to much maintenance.

Steve, you wouldn't have to worry about slipping a real Dual Disk Clutch with 200hp or less. BTW there was about 30 to 40 hooks without and adjustment on that clutch and it was also the fourth hook that day within an 8 hours.

Here are some better pick for you to dream about at night.

I did not know that big rims made a truck faster or added horse power but if that is the case I need to get a set of 28 or bigger but back to the thread see you at hooters. :-laf :-laf

Jay,

There isn't much you do know. :-laf

Silver 03,

Thanks for the lovley pics. I slept great last night. 4 hooks in 8 hours? Wow. Thats 2 times the hooks I have in my entire career :--) Maybe next time, you can alternate pulling rigs. Does this one still pull?

The legendary Silver 03 was retired 2 seasons ago after I beat Tomac in Ohio.

You can go to EEP's web site under customer trucks and watch the last pull before it became a tow truck. http://www.enterpriseengine.com/

Thanks for posting the vintage picks of Silver 03 it brings a tear to my eye. :-laf

I need a show of hands

Just to let everyone know I rented out the whirly ball on Saturday the 18th for 2hrs at 280. 00 from 2:00pm till 4:00pm. You bring your own drinks beer too and all food you want. I need to see how many are going to show and help out in paying for the time. If we get 20 people it comes to 14. 00 per person. I am just trying to get this to be better than the last one.
