I had a great time and the W-B was fun as hell! Now to Bill you just started a fire under me that I can't put out The way to the shop had it's good times and one bad thanks Bill I can't wait till the next meet. It was fun seeing everyone and others I haven't seen take care!!

Why do you say that do you think I'm going run out of motor or rpm's at the track? It is a lot of truck to get moving. :{

Yeah, I will find out for sure in June, but I expect to run out of RPMs before I run out of track. ... unless of course I find a box that will extend my RPM range

i have 4:10's and last time i raced i was out of rpms alittle lest then 3/4 track at the local strip! and now after the motor fully built i can say it will probally be less then that now. where i live its a 1/4 mile from the main highway to the next road right out in front of my house and buy the time im passed my house im allmost maxed out "thats if i hook up and not sliding into the the front yard and trees" and its not even halfway yet. be pretty interesting at the local track this year if everything will stay together! last time i went up there i pop the head gasket and bent a valve but put on a hell of a show i guess since i had about 30 people standing around me and around the truck. all wanting hi-fives and asking allkinds of questions. Everyones eyes where it was funny. im wanting to switch to 3. 55's i have everything to do it just need shop time.

PW440, is your local track a 1/4 mile? What is your speculation on what caused the bent valve? Or was this part of the head gasket blowing, I expect from too much boost. Are you o-ringed/studded? I am curious, I dropped a valve seat last year, and I am still a bit gun-shy.

ya track is 1/4 mile. im not sure how the valve got bent im sure it had to do with the head gasket. like i said i was maxed out 3/4 track if not before. i was getting out of the throttle and then boof! then i started trying to get the truck slowed down before i went off the end of the track into the woods. no power steering or brakes at over 100mph was kinda scarey! at that time i was o-ringed in head and block. and haisely studs. it blew cause i didnt have one of the o-rings in the block correct it was to far down and didnt get a full seal into the gasket. this was all 2 years ago. i never got a chance to race at all last year. so hopefully this year ill get up there and do a few slow runs to get a feel for the truck and track.
