GM 4500 - No Engine room

You know I was over at a shop where they had a brand new 4500 4x4 Duramax. I tipped open the hood and was amazed at how far back they pushed the engine under the cowling! I mean there is essentially very little advantage to the tilt cab... ...

Cramped? That doesn't even begin to describe it. I had to mount a VMAC belt-driven air compressor on a 4500 service truck the other day. Man, what a job. Turned out nice though... Lots of air available, 75 cfm @ 175 PSI. Not bad!
