Geez, I thought this retro looked kind of cool when I saw the prototype. I don't remember the fenders being flattened out like this on the sides though. What is it with GM? Their design people have this strange fixation on boxes? They just don't get it!

It's kind of hard to believe that they took those classic lines and blew it with flat sided fenders. The round fenders were the key to the whole affect. I would kind of like to see Ford build something with the look of their '55 pickup truck. Probably miss the point of the look and make a monster.

I agree on that. Thing is, wether you like retro's or not, I would rather see the big three cleaning up than the rice burners. DC hit the target, Ford's Tbird is on track. Maybe Boyd Cottington should go straighten GM out.

Whoops! I dug up this early prototype photo. Dang if it did not have the ugly flat sided fenders. I had not noticed them until I saw it in yellow.
