It's not the first time. Several years ago when it was Detroit Diesel Allison (DDA), a GM division, GM tried selling both. Roger Penske bought Detroit Diesel, which was later sold to D/C, but no one would pay enough for Allison. I guess they will try again and they should be more successful since Allison has expanded their market since then.

Yep, and International Harvester sold their Solar gas turbine division to Caterpillar. I don't know what, or if anything, ever became of that.



Rusty, you might know since they were used in industrial applications.
