GM scrapping the D-Max?

It was a REALLY BAD idea, that GM had with the 5. 7 diesel ! It left a very bad taste in a LOT of peoples mouths!



And if you ever get started talking about diesel engines in cars with people, do you know what usually comes up? That POS diesel GM put in Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Chevy & GMC trucks... ... ...



GM didn't have the balls to step "out of the box", they did NOTHING for any one who owned them, except HUGE repair bills!



I KNOW, because I OWNED ONE!

They stepped out of the box for the 5. 7 alright. then they set it on fire and built a 6. 2 out of the ashes. Followed only shortly later by the 6. 5 with its turbocharged, the ashes must have turned to fertilizer or something.

GM IS BEYOND A DOUBT THE REASON THE USA IS TERRIFIED OF DIESELS IN CARS. I hold no respect for a auto manufacturer who knew from the start the head failures were apparent. They did nothing to retrofit the design, help loyal customers get a Lemon replacement or at least credit the consumer enough on a voucher to trade the pile of trash back in for a different unit.

I know, my dad purchased both a 1978 oldsmobile "regency 98 model" and 1979 Suburban brand new. He spent the next 3 years fighting to keep them alive before giving up and putting small block 350 chevy motors into each of them out of late 60's vehicles. The dealers continually raped and stole from him throughout the duration of the 5. 7 diesels warranty periods.

GM has yet to do anything for untold numbers of consumers who to this day will not buy GM again. Including my father who sold his vette just to get the rest of the bow ties out of our driveway. (he was still paying on the 5. 7 diesels when he grudgingly pulled them and installed gas engines). He, along with many others, have a justified right to wish GM nothing but the worst.

Owned a Yukon for 4 months. Professional grade my arse! Turned the dr side sideview mirror in at a car wash and it broke hung there like a limp weenie.



The wouldnt cover it on warranty because I said the C word (carwash) and wanted to charge me 500 for the mirror and paint job.



sold the thing the next week and will NEVER by another GM piece of junk
