I hate to say this- even if you'r a democrat- VOTE. It may not be the best feedback to the criminals-- er --politicians- but it is the best in the world so far. A lot of blood has been spilled by our forebears for something we take for granted. I went to lots of countries/ports while in the navy. Our system has it all over other countries- even if it is slightly dysfunctional.

Voting in the Philippines...

My co-worker was telling me when he lived in the Philippines 20 years ago he looked forward to election day. A chance to make a few bucks. He said you would not vote 'till your "palm got greased". A party's rep would give you 30? Pesos for a vote. Just hang around the polling place and wait for the guy with the $$.
