I have a picture of my grandfather lifting two full milk cans and setting them, straight armed, into the back of his delivery truck..... with two more slung over his shoulder in the other hand... .

Not doubting at all, but I'd appreciate seeing that picture if you'd care to share it us.

It is a shame that Fiat decided to remove the "Dodge" name from the trucks, and call them "Ram"... Have no idea what they were thinking with such an iconic brand name. What I found interesting is that every comment, post, or even the news media referred to the commercial as the "Dodge truck commerical"... I wonder what they have in store for the "Jeep" name ???

And I notice the good use of Case and IH equipment... all related to the use of Cummins engines. Even the gas truck was a Dodge. Looked like a Dakota.

BUT... all the farms around here in west central Indiana like their Ford diesels. Just my observation. :D Great commercial!! Respect to those who've busted their A** all these years to keep this country going strong. And so that we don't starve like the people in other countries. Maybe this will remind those who don't even know where food in the store comes from.

(I'm so happy there were NO green tractors in this!!!! But they're OK. :D)

The reason there is so much Case and lack of JD is due to the fact that Fiat owns Chrysler. And case is a subsidiary of Fiat. ;)

Not a subsidiary, but Fiat owns a majority of interest, aka stock shares. CaseNewHolland N. V. is a Netherland based Corporation..... Not to be picky... :D

I'll try to dig the photo out. It used to be on my desk before I moved..... It's in what few photos I could get when my Grandmother passed away. I basically stole it.

and so is New Holland which includes the old Ford Tractor Operations that was sold by Ford Motor Co years ago.
There are Fiat diesels showing up in some Case/IH equipment also that was once powered by Cummins.

It was good a good ad! :D Glad it was Ram/Dodge ad!:D

Have Supplier/Farmer bought a 2001 CTD from a produce customer then they bought a 96 4x4 dually club cab 5 spd ctd, 95 reg cab ctd and 97 ctd doner truck from construction company that went out of business.

The wife calls me when they are having problems (she sells at the market husband runs picking crew) her husband doesn't speak english to good so I send her an e-mail and she translates to her husband. Usually it is something she can buy at Geno's.

So the new mis-statement or rumor that should be started is "Fiat owns Cummin(g)s". LOL

No where near being a Farmer

I was not brought up on a farm but my Sister,Brother and I were sent back to North Platte NE for summer vacation from school. Brother,Sister hated it and did nothing but cry the whole time I LOVED IT!!! Grandpa told parents that he had no time for crying if they are going to continue DONT SEND THEM OUT!! He told them that he had no problems with Shooter (aka ME) Send him because he seems to enjoy the life. The next year I was taken down to the train depot and given to my Uncle that worked on the Union Pacific Railroad and rode the pretty much the whole trip in the caboose. It was a dream come true for an 8year old kid from VA. Went to the other cars and even to the engine and rode up front with the engineers WHAT A TRIP that was. When I got to the farm in North Platte NE my Grandpa was there to pick me up took me straight to the barber got a shave head hair cut next door to the hardware store for 3 pairs of Big Mac bib overalls and union pac engineer hat and 4 boxes of long rifle 22 ammo. Grandpa was more than POed when they charged him $ 1. 10 for the 4 boxes of 22 ammo.

Grandpa was a hard man he had to be with 11 sections of land to look after, He didnt have to work the whole 11 sections he let the other family members that came from Germany take care of their portion and they all worked as one big farm. We rarely ever seen them unless it was in town or at the grain mill at the railroad tracks on Grandpa's farm. Farm work was great I thought, get up early work for awhile and come in eat breakfast go out and drive a tractor with gramps, tend to some other farm chores, have a big lunch at noon when Grandma brought out the basket from the house to the field to eat. After lunch Grandma would ask whats for dinner? Seems like no matter what it was I got to go Shoot it hence the nickname Shooter.

We were just at my Aunts place last week in North Platte for a visit when moving our daughter out from IN. My Aunt had some pictures of us as kids and one of me with my LONG SHOOTER, (they were all shooters long,hand, and pocket shooters) My wife asked why were you crying in the picture? cause the last thing Gramp's would say before I went out to peen the head off rabbits,squirrels,prairie chickens what ever we were going to have for dinner was to watch the direction of your shots, shoot them in the head dont waste meat and ONLY USE ONE BULLET PER cause at a buck ten for 2 hundred shots cant afford to miss. Grandpa heard 3 shots and when I came back with only 2 rabbits I thought I had let him down :{

When things broke on the farm that Gramp's couldn't fix we took them into town to the blacksmith shop that my Great Uncle Gail owned. He was the biggest guy that I have ever seen we have a picture of him holding me when I was born with me sitting on the heal of his hand and his fingers were supporting my head he was a giant. The shop was really cool but scared the crap out of me with the smoke, heat, sparks, fire when he heated the metal and hit it with his hammer sparks would fly it was kind of fun. His hammer was a long handle sledge hammer with the handle cut down to make it a regular hammer his forearms were as big as most peoples legs and the regular hammer was just to small for him.

Seeing the ad on TV was pretty good most dont have a clue as to where their food is produced and how it gets to them it brought back some fun memories seeing it on the TV.
