Hi Tom, glad everything is going great with your truck. I can definately tell Godzilla's making some REAL power now after the ride you gave me. Amazing how hard Godzilla pulled from 5th gear just loafing in the city. I'm jealous now heh heh. Have fun.

Ray,
After driving your truck, it seems you are also well on your way... . Sure like to see that BIG Cummins slammed to the ground with some 20's on it... ..... #ad

Tom, I'm quite pleased your enjoying your newly buffed Ram #ad
You have some excellent components on your truck at the moment.

To quote you:

"So, to all those considering injector upgrades, my advice: Don't diddle with piecemeal upgrades, just save up until you can go all the way the first time! DD Stage 3's the first time!!"

I think your right on with that comment. Now that may not fit all applications but for those looking for performance and don't mind replacing the clutch... .....

Tom, Performance Diesel in conjunction with Brandon's "Express Lube & Detail" proudly award you with the "Bomber Of The Show" award (Willyslover gets a close second) You have bravely waved the red flag in the face of that teensy weensy lil' Cummins motor #ad
Well done lad! #ad

Colin,

Thanks sooo much for letting me test drive your truck. That tc, vb on your transmission is sweet. Love how fast & firm it shifts when you step on it. Now I REALLY can't wait to get mine done. In time my friend I will get some rims & tires on Torqus Maximus(my trucks name) and maybe lower it. Now I have to find a good excuse for my wife. #ad

Howdy all,

Just thought I'd share the great news about all the BOMBing I did at the Crntral CA meet at Brandon's shop in Modesto yesterday.

Godzilla got the following BOMBs:

4" Jardine exhaust
DD Stage 3 injectors
boost module
Brandon's fuel line upgrades
full Psychotty air system
Amsoil in both differentials

Sometime later this year: new clutch, HX40, hot "box" of some sort.

Now, for some of my initial impressions.

4" Jardine exhaust: There definitely is a drone in the cab, but in my truck, it seems to be fairly constant from idle up through 2600 RPM. Nice low rumble. But that's why they make stereos, to drown out that sort of noise.

Psychotty: I had the K&N RE-0880 for the last 3 months and no silencer ting. The K&N by itself definitely allows the turbo spool up whistle to be plainly heard, but usually only when boost is building up, or is fairly high. Now, with the full Psychotty, there seems to be whistle even while at idle at a stop light. Again, crank that stereo if you don't like it.

DD Stage 3 afterburners: #ad

Not much else to say here. Man, when you light the afterburner (push the go FASTER pedal), oh boy, does it ever respond!!! Of course since I still have the stock ETH clutch, and the HX35, I haven't pushed the pedal all the way to WOT, as I don't want any EGT problems. Last night coming home from Brandon's shop (about 120 miles), I practically had to keep one foot on the brakes, as Godzilla just wanted to FLY on the way home. All I have to do is think about hauling butt, and he hits 90 in nothing flat. Somebody's gonna have to hit me with a brick to wipe the smile off my face #ad

[Edit]: As far as smoke goes, I had a few of the other TDR folks follow me around Modesto at night looking for a place to eat, and asked how much smoke I was putting out. I admit I still haven't sent the go faster pedal all the way to the floor, don't want to blow the clutch yet, but so far, it has only smoked once, when doing a 3rd gear start from a rolling stop and getting on it a little. [end Edit]

So, to all those considering injector upgrades, my advice: Don't diddle with piecemeal upgrades, just save up until you can go all the way the first time! DD Stage 3's the first time!!

I would like to specially thank Nowel, Brandon and Chris Sutton [csutton7] for their fantastic help in doing the installations of all these BOMBs!!! Godzilla thanks you all very much, and so do I.

Tom

Well, I drove to Fresno and back home yesterday, roughly a 400 mile round trip for me. Man, gotta love that new found power!!

Hey, I've thought of a new BOMB. I was going to order the 5" Chrome Monster Tip from Geno's Garage for my new Jardine exhaust, but I got the bright idea to paint the last piece of the exhaust flame red instead! That ought to grab people's attention going down the road!! A Patriot Blue Dodge with a flame red 4" tail pipe sticking out the back end sending clouds of smoke out just before it disappears into hyperspace #ad

Fortunately, due to the bolt together nature of the Jardine system, I can easily remove the last 2 foot section, prime and paint it properly, then reinstall it. Next weekend's BOMBing project!

Tom
