Goerend brothers TQ & VB installed

I arrived at goerend brothers transmission shop in St lucas Iowa last thursday around 5:30 am to have my tq and vb installed. Dave was already in his shop hard at work,he came out to greet us and took my truck for a spin to see how she shifted before the install. When we got back from our ride he offered us his small house to stay in next to his shop and use of his chevy suburban while we were there,I was highly thankful after a 9. 5 hour trip to get some shut eye,what a good guy IMHO. Dave had my truck ready that same day at 5:00 pm. and explained eveything step by step what he had done to my truck,he also gave me his Cell and Home phone numbers in case I had any problems going back to Michigan that night. My truck seems like a different truck now,it shifts alot smoother and is a joy to drive. Many thanks to Goerend Brothers,this kind of service is hard to find these days. coobie

We were treated the same way there also

That just the way he does business. I drove there from south of Pittsburgh,Pa and I got there Sunday night and they took my Motor Home IN Monday morning and that evening at 5 PM I was on my way home. He wanted us to stay the night but we started home. What a difference the trany was now. I would do It again as the song says.

I have around 36,000 miles on my truck. You can really feel the difference the Tourque converter makes as soon as you put it in gear,as I stated above it shifts alot smoother going threw the gears now verses stock. I forgot to add I had a mag hytec deeper transmission pan installed also. coobie

Been waiting to hear your impressions of the GB TQ/VB. I would love to find a quality transmission for a RERASONABLE price, I just can't fathom paying $4k+ just to fix the 48RE. What did you pay including the installation?

I paid $2320 tax included,I also had a mag-hytec (deeper transmission pan)installed at the same time for a extra $265. coobie
