Goerend Triple Disk

My stock transmission has had about all of my #5 plate and various other mods it can stand, so after 3 or 4 months of studying about the transmission's built for our mighty cummins I made my decision and ordered a Goerends Triple Disk this week. It should be here early next week and I hope to be doing the install next weekend. Dave took the time to return my email and answer my questions and I have read nothing but good about his trannys and his prices are good. This site really helped me decide on which to go.

Although I do not have a Goerend transmission, I would not hesitate to buy one from him. I have spent about 3 hours total talking to him on the phone and he will stand behind his products 100%. I am sure you will be very happy with your choice.

I actually drove all the way up to Dave's for my install, I it was worth the trip. I'd talked to him on the phone several times before that, and felt pretty comfortable chosing his product. I knew I'd made the right choice after spending 8 or 9 hours with him in his shop, watching him build the TC especially for my truck. Hell of a nice guy, knows his business, has been there in that one little location, in St. Lucas, Ia. for over 50 years. His dad started the business when he came back from WWII. He doesn't have a huge advertizing budget, no slick page ads, just mostly work-of-mouth advertising. Quality, value & reputation are all he needs to sell his product.

Georend Triple Disk installed

It took me 2 days to do the swap by myself and the transmission is everything I hoped, not even comparable to my old stock trans. Converter is so efficient that I cannot tell the difference between locked and unlocked. Its amazing how much power was being lost with the old transmission. Now I can put 370's in.
