Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Going back to stock air box?

Regcabguy your right everybody hears it a little different. Wonder If wrapping the heat shield and firewall with aluminum bubble pack insulation would help any?

A few years back I owned an '02 Ram 1500 4. 7L that I put a cold air intake on and it was unbearable at hwy speeds.

I meant to mention that if you have removed the turbo silencer ring, the whistling noise will definitely be more pronounced. My silencer ring is still installed so perhaps that may be part of the difference.



That part about we all hear differently reminds me of my "selective hearing" and "hearing loss" when the wife and daughters are getting on me about one thing or another. ;O)

Assuming I can find a stock air box any recommendations on where to buy one of these filters? Thanks

I have seen the air box on ebay motors for a very reasonable price, so if you are not in a big hurry keep watching there.
