Monday I'm taking my truck in to a good bodyshop for an estimate on a couple of dents that it picked up over the holidays. :mad: What I was wanting to know is how much do you guys think that it will cost to have to dents one about the size of a coke can and the other only about the size of a dime pulled and then on the other side of the bed there is a few really tiney ones that I think were there when I bought the truck and one spot right in the corner of the outside of the bed no bigger than a dime were the paint is scuffed right down to the primer. (my own damn fault:( ). What do you guys think it might cost:confused: I think they will probible have to reclear coat the hole bed. :{

Any ideas might help the sticker shock. :eek:

Thanks

Big D

you might want to call an outfit like DentPro--a guy I'm doing some work for works for them and he took out most of mine---they can't paint, but they do a really good job of removing dents--it was awesome to watch him and see the specialty tools they use---I had a pretty good sized one--2-3 coke cans back by the rear bumper where some very nice person had backed into me--yea right they left a note; it was the dent they left and nothing else --anyway this guy got it out----chris

One thing for sure, I bet the estimate will be higher than you think it should be. Good body shop work is pricey unless you know someone that can do it on the side or a friend in the buisness.

Paintless repair

I agree with Chris, try and find a Paintless repair. I had gone thru a hailstorm with my '95 and they took out all the dents w/o paint. Sam

My brother in law does paintless dent removal. I would guess @ $75. 00 for the small dent. The larger dents are hard to do paintless and could cost as much as $150. 00 if they can do it--depends in part how hard the dents are to access from behind and whether they are really susceptible to removal anyway.
