3/4 vs 1 ton ride quality

Bigfoot

SWendell, I live within 35 minutes of two bigfoot dealers in the lower mainland of Vancouver B. C. and I drove 4 3/4 hours to Mike Rosmans for a very good deal on my 24' trailer. They stopped making my model, but I would not trade for a new one because I have a ton of storage in this one. Mine has the Fibercore walls.

Casey, thanks for the information. We have been buying our food for our dog at Costco. I wonder if the Costco in Vancouver where we go through, would carrry the same brands? I'll have to check the website and see if there is a contact.

Thanks for the help

PM me with the name of the dog food and I will check our local Costco next time I am there. I know they carry the IAMs because we sometimes buy it there. They carry a number of others too.

I work at a Canadian headquartered company with US assembly plants. The US people almost NEVER have trouble crossing over to Canadian soil and virtually NO trouble crossing back to US side with only a driver's license for ID.

The only problem is if you have a record for DWI or other offense where the Canadians demand you get a "Queen's Pardon" PRIOR TO CROSSING.

The Canadians coming our (US side) way get hassled, no harassed, even with a passport or triplicate proof of idenity by the US agents. Going back they may get searched by the Canuck agents looking for the carton of smokes or bottle of booze.

Just remember to dress business casual and keep the smart @ss comments buttoned until after the agents. Dress or act as a Hell's Angel wanna-be and you'll get the "treatment" from both sides.

Much easier than Miami customs coming back from Caribean. I dang near thought I was going to loose my virginity on the last trip.

edit

I had to stress the Queen's Pardon must be obtained PRIOR to driving to the Canadian border. You may be refused entry.

We must be really honest looking citizens. In all the years of going back and forth, we have never been hassled by either side. Well there was the one time the "lady" on the Canadian side was offended by the music from my Cummins. No taste, that one. :D

Go before the border...

Some advice - make sure nobody in the group has to take a bathroom break while you're clearing customs. Bad idea.

A buddy of mine announced his urge to purge halfway through our clearing and we proceeded to get a complete and thorough search. No body cavity search, but it probably delayed us by a good hour and a half. Friggin' genius.
