Going to Lincoln, NB

Nah, just kidding. Sometimes it's nice to get away from home, even if it's too my home state's (Iowa) brother state.



Girlfriend wants to go see her old friends that moved out there. Her friend and her husband are expecting a girl and she wants to see them.



We will be taking the truck, going from Denver to Lincoln over a 4 day weekend in spring.



Any cool things to do if I need a break from "the reunion"? Any Lincoln TDR guys to hang out with?

Harold Warp's Pioneer Village. It is in Minden, NE. Definantly worth the stop. Took dad and I, a little over a day to see everything. LOTS to see.

Thanks, I will check out more info on the pioneer village. Yeah, there is a Cabelas in Sydney and Kearney (Kearney is closer to Lincoln). Been to both but its been years.

Ever been to the Strategic Air Command Museum just outside of Omaha?



You might like it.

That must be the one I stopped by to check out back in 1997. One of the planes parked out on the tarmac happened to be my favorite, the SR-71 Blackbird. I could hardly believe it, no barricade or nothing. After taking several pictures, I could walk up and touch it. I don't know if that's all changed after 9-11 There was also a U2 close by.

Yea, go over to the base in the summer when the Dog Food factory is in full swing... ..... barf! I was the last week and the wind chill was a balmy -13F.
