Happy Birthday JR2

Me and the rig head for the hills tomorrow morning. Saturday is opening day of archery elk season here in Colorado.

Forcast calls for snow Friday night down to 10,000 feet, which is about 500 feet above camp.

PERFECT!

I took a little scouting trip yesterday with the horses. There was already a heavy dusting of snow above 10,000' in the snowy's west of Laramie. We got rained on, snowed on, lightening'd on, hailed on. Somebody forgot to let Mo' nature know it's still August. Season starts the 1st of Sept. for us. Good luck JWD.

Cool, You're givin' me the fever. We have a group of 7 coming out for the first rifle season on Oct 16. We hunt on a 10,000 acre private ranch on the southwest side of Routt Nat. Forest about 30 miles NE of Craig. Anybody from up that way? If so, what's the elk and mule deer forecast looking like?
