Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Good 370 injectors??

Hey

Just got my 370's off ebay in the mail. They came quick and in good condition new in box and with the promised install kit. .



However, people have told me all 370 bosch injectors are built equally. some better than others. .

Serial number on box is 0 432 131 715...

Made in brazil





On the injector body, the number 5969 is printed on it.



Did i get good ones?

Not sure about the serial numbers, but there is a difference. Some have different spray angles. If the angle is too wide, it won't spray into the piston bowl. If it is too narrow, you will get too high of a concentration of diesel in the center. I'm sure others will share their info on spray angles and serial numbers.

i got mine from pdr and the injector tip # on mine are 5969. pdr im told sells the right ones. so yours and mine are the same. hope this helps.

I'm glad i didnt get stuck with junk... were your made in brazil too?



If anyone can give me more info on different bosch part numbers and why these 5969 injectors are best, let me know

ive been searching for an hour and not found anything real good

Why not have him ask the person he got them from. Buy from someone else then get Piers to give them free advice. I know he helps out but still ...

I'm just curious as to why you didn't buy the injectors from Piers in the first place?

I got them on ebay for 270 shipped w/install kit... If i bought them at piers it would have been about 430 shipped with install kit. 160 dollars is a big difference in price

anyways my injectors I got threw Floor It Diesel Performance courtousy of PDR have the following numbers.



body number: KDAL 59P14 389 18

tip number: 5969



mine also has 5968 stamped on the body oppisite the hole for the return line. and they were also made in Brasil.







edit: the serial number on the box refers to the number for the whole assembly if I remember right. the boxes mine came in did not have a number on them.

I'm on a slight budget and IMO 160 is a big difference in price--it would pay for a lot of parts. If it was 30 or 40 bucks then id get it but 160, wow I'm looking to get the tab kit from him and the 4gsk kit too for now, maybe more ...



All my numbers match except the last 5 on the body, i believe they are a serial number ill have to look at the others and see

This the is same seller but i think he was undercutting his profit so he had to start selling them at a more resonable price. Shipping was quick and seller was good
