As amazing as it sounds, I actually had a very good experience at a dealership with a particular salesman. My father in law just bought a 2004. 5 600 2500 4x4. If anyone in Minnesota or Wisconsin is looking for a great guy at a 5-star Dodge dealer, I would recommend giving Rob Johnson at Duluth Dodge in Duluth, Minnesota a call. Make sure and tell him Chuck sent ya and he'll give you the red carpet treatment. 218-720-6123

I am not personally affiliated with Duluth Dodge. I work in the Environmental field, so this doesn't make me any money at all. I just figured with all the bad experiences people have with dealers, I'd share my good experience and hope it helps others.

I too have had mostly pleasant experiences with my local dealer:Christopher's Dodge World in Lakewood, CO. I live in Boulder and go 20+ miles to them instead of The one in Boulder.

Pleased with the sale, but mostly I refer to their service dept. The one in Boulder never seemed to think my warrantee covered anything. I went several times thinking "surely they can handle this small problem", but every visit ended in disappointment.

The folks at Christopher's, seem to get it right the first time.

Is that the dealership on top of the hill? I know I drove past a Dodge dealership a couple of years ago by a Kohls store. I think it was by Maple Grove rd?? when I had to go into Hermantown. It's so built up since I went to UWS in the late '80's, I don't recognize the area. Of course, I always have to make a point to stop at Grandma's for a bite to eat when I'm in the area.

Yeah, that's the one on top of the hill, just north of Haines Road and HWY 53. That 600 is the third truck my family has bought from Rob, and I would go back there in a second. I'm trying to get them to carry VW so my wife can get a TDI. I won't own a VW in Duluth/Superior since the closest dealer (and therefore warranty shop) is Brainerd (over 100 miles away). For some reason, Duluth Dodge also carries Suzuki, and I can't figure out why. The had Daewoo but dropped those little crapboxes. Odd combination of vehicles. Nice thing about Daewoos is that if you get in an accident, you don't need to buy a coffin. You just get burried in the whole car, which nicely compacts to about the same size. That reminds me of the fun physics math I used to do (if there is such a thing). We used to figure out how fast a mosquito would have to travel to total a Freightliner. :)
