Well I'm a happy man after this weekend at the Diesel Dyno Stampede in Calgary. No, I didn't get laid
, but I did make 248rwhp on the Superflow Dyno with my stock ETH. Made 2 consistent strong runs and the dyno was pretty accurate according to other guys who know what their HP level is.
This is with 14000km on the truck. Previously I made only 176hp on a Mustang dyno at 6000km. Needless to say I didn't like that number and have always suspected the Mustang accelerated too fast and didn't let me get full boost. The Superflow is a water-loading dyno where they adjust the load to pull you down slowly at WOT from 3000 to 2000rpm or so. The run took 74 seconds total with nearly 20sec at WOT so there's plenty of time to get the boost up.
I'm still smiling today. Great time over the weekend, hope to do it again soon. I'm lucky to have what appears to be a factory hotrod - maybe 275's and an elbow will put me at 300hp.
