Ordered new truck February 1st from Carson Dodge. Truck arrived at a rail yard in Benecia in about a month. Salesman kept me informed weekly about the process. Due to heavy snows in the Sierras the truck has been at the rail yard for five weeks. Received a call from the dealer yesterday saying that he had good news and bad news. The good news is the truck is in. The bad news is he heard a rumor around the dealership that one of the trucks was damaged while being unloaded off the transporter truck. Guess who's? :--) Salesman said not to worry it can be fixed. My reply was I DON'T THINK SO TIM!!!! Salesman said he could order a new truck. I've been waiting nine weeks, I can't wait that long as I need a new truck soon. Salesman got on his computer and I got on mine, we checked the inventory at the dealership at the same time. I picked out a quad cab 4x4 that was fully loaded, except leather. It was $2000. more than the truck I'd ordered. I asked what kind of price could I get on the truck. He said due to the long waiting period and now due to the mishap to the truck he would charge me $400. 00 more for the new truck off the lot. The price would be $34,900. I'll be able to pick up the new truck in a few days and I have been treated very well at Carson Dodge and I highly recommend their dealership. Merkel, G.

Good News-Bad News 06.

New truck off the lot has Satellite Raido-Elec. Shift-on-the-fly-Rear power sliding window-Sound & secure value group and Big Horn Group. Oo. MerkelG.

Fell off the railcar: fell off the hoist; backed into by a fork lift and all sorts of other reasons not to give you the vehicle you ordered: THe dearler probably sold it to someone for lots more than you were going to pay. This same thing happened to me. ONCE! I will never deal and bad mouth this local crook forever.

Who was your salesman? I've done business at Carson Dodge for my last two trucks and they've been very good.

"The price would be $34,900. "

That is a great price for a loaded Big Horn 4x4. My employee price was $36,120 on a $42,235 truck. What type of incentives did you get?

Charlie is a good guy. He's been there for at least 12 years. I stop by every once in a while to see what's new and he takes the time to take me out and show and let me drive one if I want, full well knowing that I'm not going to buy. But when I do, it'll be from Charlie. I got my last two trucks from him and just get a really good vibe, not the feeding frenzy feel that I get from other places.

I had a similar incident happen to a friend, but in this case he was never told what happened to his truck. Like yours the truck fell off the transporter, causing much damage to the rear end and left side of the truck. They repaired it and then sold it too him as a new truck. He was told that there was a supply problem and his truck would be delayed 3 weeks from it's original delivery date. What he didn't know was that they needed the three weeks to fix his new truck. After delivery he had several problems, the most serious problem was in the handling department, the ruck seemed to be all over the place on the road, and the back-end jumped around alot, especially when in a turn. At first he thought it was because he had never owned a dually, but soon realized it was more then that. After several trips to the dealer for service, he finally learned the truth about what had really happened to his truck, that it had fallen off the transporter and had been damaged. The dealer took the truck back and refunded his money plus $500. 00 when threatened with a law suit. Their are many good dealerships out their, but at the same time their are also many bad ones.
