My 03. 5 just turned 150,000 miles today. Been a very good truck overall.
Suspension, tires, wheels are stock. I drive the truck like I paid for it LOL, I did pay for it for five long years.
I get a constant 23 mpg hand calc, the engine does not consume oil. I change the oil & filter every 7,500, add one Red bottle STP oil additive to the mix. I add 12 ounces of 2-stroke oil to the diesel fuel on fillup.

Things I replaced:
shocks
batteries
water pump
coolant
tires
sun visors
light bulbs, an ongoing annoying problem

Labor:
adjusted valves at 120K
flushed coolant at 125K
replaced tires at 83K
alignment 120K

The stock lift pump still going strong, but I do have a Geno's unit in truck as a back up just in case. Still am using the original break pads and rotors, front & rear.

I just turned 109K on my 04. 5 (see signature for details). Love this truck. Only one issue and it was covered under warranty (lift pump replaced at 60K w/ intank model). I haul an 10K FR Wildcat 5'er. The CTD is tops in my estimation.

I have 63000 on my 04. 5. Change oil twice a year and have not had any problems. Just do normal maint. Original batteries, and lift pump, but carry a spare from Geno's. Rugged trail tires still have 1/4 inch of tread left. I tow a 31 ft. Cardinal 5th wheel.

Update,

We are home now, just over 6,140 miles round trip, no problems, and over all mileage for entire trip is 19. 7 HC. So am a very happy camper.

Now have to change the oil and rotate tires again.

I bought an 06 a few months back. I love it. Minor issues at first but for the money and what you can do you can't go wrong. Mileage is the same as my old 4runner but twice the weight and three times the size. Spoiled myself with the Laramie with added toys. . makes you smile from your garage to where your headed. My stock 06 with 13000 miles has been great except for 3 recall repairs,rear drive shaft, ball joint, and injector. The dealer spent more time in my truck than me. But I still love it. :-laf
