Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
I read on the other site that people were buying them for ~$1100 or so, including the high ram intake, piping clamps, hoses etc.
Do you know if there is any real world data on these intercoolers versus the stock, steel end tank one (no brainer over the plastic end tank stock IC)? I see City Diesel and Haisley sell 3rd gen heavy duty intercoolers too...
i have no idea if there is any data that supports them other than what banks claims. but it is a hardware item and banks is known for making very good products except for the electronics. they are ok in that department. only problem is they are a little high in price. i just found the high ram on ebay for 292 plus it had a best offer key so im sure i could get it for less than that with all the markup on banks products. in theory the high ram should make a difference seeing that it is less restrictive. i just found a thread on here if u search for intercoolers someone on here has it and said they had 200* less egt on WOT up a hill and 100* less while cruising. so in my book that would be worth it. anything to help this truck run more air until my twins get here. let me know if u find anything!
Here's some stuff from the other site, There's some interesting stuff, but not a lot of info aside from initial test drives and some towing. The KBF member in the last link has pictures in his gallery:
I just watched a used one sell on ebay for $910. If that one comes with a High Ram then that is a pretty good deal because the cheapest I have seen them is $1200 or so. The only thing that holds me back from the banks intercooler is they only test them to 40psi (if my information is correct)
