Competition Good racing tires?

I'm looking for a good racing tire for the up coming season. something like a DOT slick in a 16" rim. any tires that anybody likes, have use or dislike? Any info would be great

4x4 isn't enough traction anymore? Or is there something new being built?

with the curent setup i come off the line spining all 4. that and i just tear chunks off the tires now when they do hook. The truck is being setup to run the 12 sec index at IRP this year if thing go right. so it might run faster than 12. 00 tires rated for it always help.

M&H is really the most popular street legal slick used by the diesel guys. I'd also like to hear of any other suggestions as well.

You will have a tough time finding slicks tall enough for a 16" rim



I run Toyo Proxes on 18" rims. They hook good and are speed rated to 140 mph

How do they hook?? What kind of 60ft times are you able to get with the Toyo's??

So not much spin I'm guessing when you leave the line. I had great luck with BFG A/T's myself and got down to a 1. 60 60ft with those.

Would those work better than slicks for a 2wd truck?



How about those wider slicks that stick out from the wheel wells?
