Paul, Yea, just as your entering the curve on the bridge, he went over the gaurd rail down onto 147 then into the river, what a mess he made, Yikes, as i said Lucky Man!!

Saw it on the news last night. The whole dang Cab was in the Susquehanna. One lucky dude, no doubt about it.

Towpro, right road wrong area, this is the bridge just east of the clarksferry truck stop, the long swooping curve to the left thats banked kinda goofy, it's about 6 miles west on 22/322 of where your thinking.

A woman may have been fiddling with her cell phone when she crossed the center divider on I-5 and hit another car head-on. She was killed, as was the woman in the other car.

I can remember when Clarks Ferry was a 2 lane bridge and the Army Corp of Engineers routinely had to dynomite the spring ice breakup to keep it from piling up against the footings. That's been a while. Used to live in Avondale, SE Pa. Had to cross that bridge to get to a hunting camp near Milroy.

Yes, I was thinking of the correct bridge. When your driving 250 miles to get where your going, and harrisburg is in the first 1/4 of your ride, the statue "seems" real close to the bridge I checked out a map, 322/22 only crosses the river once so its got to be the bridge I was thinking about. thanks!

TowPro, My bad, you were thinking of the right spot, just a little west of the "Narrows" ( where the statue is)



Little Bill, i also can remember the 2 lane bridge, we smacked many a mirror's on passing trucks it was that tight.



Paul, yea it was a Schnieder truck, 25 year old driver , (word is fresh out driving school, only on road 4 months)



Andy P. yea saw that story on another board, was titled "another cell phone death"? thats why i posted it in here. this story actually made the news pretty much all over the country. a fellow

in Wa. saw the story on his noon yest. Bad news travels fast.



Guess what i'm trying to say is BE CAREFUL out there, ya never know whats around the next corner. (and if ya answer your phone while making the turn you might not find out!) :{ :{
