A must do....
I have had Larry's kit for over a year and decided today was the day.
Those starter bolts are a real bear. I fooled around for along time trying to get at them with a socket. I just could not get at them straight enough without causing the socket to slip. The top and bottom you can get to but that middle one just would not work.
I ended up using a 10mm combinatin wrench... . nice and small and easy to get into tight places. But not very much leverage. Like the 12 point socket use the box end which provides a very good hold on the bolts.
A few blows with a hammer on the wrench got all loose. I had a hoist and worked from below. I used a big screwdriver wedged between the starter and the wrech to get the top bolt. A longer wrench (mine was about 5" long) would probably work with out any assistance.
Mine were at least as bad as the pics in the first post. I have never had any hint of problems.
