Anyone know the names of good shops in Albuquerque, NM area to tune my early 91 non intercooled truck. Engine is in good shape just need valves adjusted and check pump timing etc. ? Thanks
Might try Cummins around the big I. I wouldn't let any of the dealers there or in Santa Fe touch my truck. Haven't found a good mech. in NM in five years.
Central Motive Power on Princeton was helpfull to me in the past, showed me how to turn up the pump on my 93 back in 93, and I've talked to them recently about setting up the timing and what-not on my new truck. 505-884-2525. I have heard Statkus Engines on Los Tomases Drive works on 'em too, and that they have a dyno, but I haven't used 'em for anything but a Powerstroke chip, and they were expensive. 505-765-1614. Cummins Southwest on Broadway 505-247-2441 is who xgunfighter is refering to at the Big-I, and they too should be able to help you.
Pretty slim pickins in ABQ, I would recommend Central Motive, just from past experience.
