I live in North Denver and although my truck (01' 6 spd. ) is not totally out of commission it is very hard to drive and some time I can't use 1st or 2nd gear. It appears as thought the clutch is not fully disengaging. I have heard that it might be the slave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder but I do not see any leak or obvious problem when I look at everything. I need someone to diagnose this and possibly fix it if I cannot fix it myself. Obviously the most reputable and fair prioced shop would be great. I had ATS replace the clutch (LUK) 20k ago at 55k total truck miles but they are a little far away for me to get a ride back and forth. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Thanks,

Jack

If the slave cyl is getting full travel (no air in system or excessive leaks or low on fluid) but the clutch is not fully disengaging the problem could only be as follows. 1) a broken, bent or cracked clutch fork. 2) a broken, loose or missing pivot ball. 3) some of the fingers on the pressure plate have collapsed or broken. #3 is the most likely to have happened. clutches are pretty simple . theres not much to go wrong that will not be obvious.
