I'm new to the list, any one have any suggestions on good diesel shops in Denver? I'm pretty capable my self but since the truck is under extended warranty I'd like to take advantage of it. I have enough other vehicles to work on myself.

Thanks in advance

Ryan

For warranty work, you need to take it to a dealer to avoid brain damage. Jonson Auto on 136th Avenue & Hwy 85 is the best dealership that I have found.

For non warranty work, do it yourself and save the money. These trucks are soooo simple to work on doing routine maintenance. Give me a PM if you need some help with something.

Denver diesel shops

I'd suggest ATSDiesel in Wheatridge (Denver). They've hosted a TDR seminars and have proven themselves knowlegeable.

Well I went to Johnsons Auto plaza near Brighton, Co as suggested above by Sticks. While on one hand I did get my LP and VP relaced free under the DC 100k warranty I'm not convinced they are a great dealership. I think the main problem is that they wrote down my complaint as "trouble starting" when what I told them was "my lift pump is bad. and I'm concerned my vp may be hurt as well. and here is my list of codes and also please take care on my missing exhaust manifold bolt and please perform the related TSB to keep them from falling out again" . I even had it all printed out on paper for them.

So after a day and a half, I finaly talked directly with the tech and told him it's the fuel pump/pumps he looked in that direction and they were ordered the next day(since DC closes at 5pm eastern time) and then replaced the day after that.

Now it runs great but of course they forgot about the exhaust bolt issuses so I went straight to the parts department and I'll do them myself.

If nothing else just make sure you tell them (in person) exactly what you want done.

Or review the work ticket, and pop the hood before you leave.

Johnson's Auto Plaza

I bought my truck through fleet sales at Johnson's and couldn't have been more pleased. Later, when I found a delivery scratch across the top of the cab, they repainted it and were very accommodating. However, the shop didn't do a very good job of cleaning up afterward. So they get a couple of "atta boys" and one "aw s**t. " Haven't had any mechanical work done there because I live in Teller County, Colo. and take my truck to Perkins in Colorado Springs.

This is my Colorado DOC, Reliance Truck & Auto, these guys have always treated me right. If you're anywhere close give them a try.
