I agree. Why waste a lot of bombs and military personnel, when we can nix "Most Favored Nations Trade Status. " China has an 80 billon dollar trade surplus with the US. Then, we can keep jobs in the USA, and fight the Chinese in a battle they cannot win. This skirmish has caused me to start looking for the "made in china" sticker. I hope a lot of others do the same.

I cant believe that they arent tripping over themselves to get our guys back either. They act as though we cant buy cheap ****ty quality toys from any place else.
W. has good smart experienced people in his cabinet, and I'm sure they know more about the situation than we ever will.
Knowing what I know about this, I'd tell them "We want our men and aircraft back within 24 hours... un hurt, or else thre will be two cruise missles headed your way. The first will be to destroy our aircraft, the second being set for the Chinese(sp?) politburo!!
But my BIG MOUTH always gets me into trouble. #ad

If W would send an SR-71 to take a few pictures, they may realise who theyre *F*ing with. Maybe task a few sattelites... you know, take a few snap shots of something they dont think we know they have, and send it to them. #ad

I myself dont think the chinese see much anything the way we as free men see them. To them the lives of an air crew is worthless, even if it were their own men. The cost of a human life in China is very low.

I wish we still had the SR-71. Aerial refueling that plane was my first job as a KC-135Q navigator. Very fun.
I saw a satellite picture of the EP-3 on the ramp on a web site yesterday. I think it was on yahoo. I like good satellite imagery.

I to will be very carefull not to buy chinese junk.
To fight the red-dragon is going to be our most humbling experence.
China would love to not have to feed 3-400000 mouths. If we kill half of them thats just less mouths they will have to feed.
Why would china even think about biteing the hand that feeds them?
China is acting ultra stupid. They are going to have to pay for this for many years to come.
Lets go to WAR MEN !!Amen.

A couple of fellow Americans sent me this Top Secret photo of the new Stealth Bomber we could use.

My first thought, get those people back NOW!
Then I calm down and think for a minute... ... . What has Slick Willie done for the REDS that we DON'T know about?

We have to be tough, but just the same, we do not want to back them into a corner, World Humiliation does not sit well with Chinese.
They are just like women, let them think it is their idea to do whats right, but keep that big stick behind your back.

This is what happens when libs help build up the commies. They get crazy.

We all need to start pounding the chinese with personal letters like the wife of the pilot did to bush. Ours should say things like get your filthy hands off our people, and quit murdering your own. theres no way in hell a 4 propped plane full of expensive gear & full of passengers is going to outmanuver a FIGHTER plane and take it out. Anyone who thinks or believes otherwise aught to give up thinking because it is simply not logical.
The ENEMY pilot was too **** wreckless trying to intimidate our pilots and this is what happened. Unbelievable we have people on our side saying it was our fault. Who's side are these people on anyways??

Thats my opinion and I stick with it.

Im standing up for our country, and those of you who dont can... . Leave w/ Alec Baldwin. Take rosie with ya.

I'm not sure that this incident wasn't intentional, but not the way they are calling it.

How do we know that the Reds didn't intentionally ram the plane to force it down to so that they could 'inspect' it?

Might sound paranoid, but makes you think doesn't it?

Later,
Joe

I've had time to reflect on this now. It appears to be a mere game, and the Chinese are better at it than we are. Unfortunately, this episode can become an encouragement to some other looney country to press us up against the wall.
Firing a volley over the bow of an enemy ship is a pretty good tactic to get the enemy's undivided attention. We do NOT have the Chinese attention on this matter. Too bad. Joe

PS Like I said it's a good thing I'm not in charge. I would have popped a cap or two by now.
