Mistake by D.I.S.

LMFAO @ lmills ... I was reading your post going "what's this guy talking about? I haven't heard of this Furd... where'd he come from?" But then I fingered it out...

still LOL... :D:D

Somebody ought to show him the thread from the ford techs about the 6. 0's. What's up with his handle KW?If he had one it probably would powered by a International!

Dang, how about that lil troll driving an 03 that jumped on my back and asked for proof. I guess he hasn't had a chance to be on the TDR to see real horsepower numbers. :D

Dodge really went for crap running the 4 link set up and coil springs on the 4x4s

i can swear i remember reading a post somewhere that ford will be using a similar 4 link setup on the 05 posd's... rumor or not... i think it is better than leaf springs... now if we can get a factory 4 link [w/panhard rod] air suspension in rear that'd be slick

The kenworth guy has been over there for a long time. I've read stuff from him before, and am convinced that he's just some attention ***** trying to get a rise out of everyone. Nobody can keep up that level of ignorance consistently unless they are purposefully trying to upset people.

If Ford is so great then why did I have to sleep all night in a truck that wouldn't crank? My buddy has an '01 F350 4x4 dually and 3 of us hauled out to a rodeo this past weekend. It's showing 124k but it's probably about 200k on the odometer. The 7. 3 was the 2nd one in there and it only had about 25k on it. At least 1 valve was sticking, the started mount broke and the starter fell out of the block (hence, no way to crank it and get some A/C) because the front springs have lost their arch and couldn't support the weight of the Ranchhand bumper and winch and everything else. The motor laid a nice smoke screen as we left though... of course it was nice blue smoke. The turbo is shot also. He's only running a minor chip, straight pipe, and some sort of intake kit. Talk about a POS! I knew when we left I should have hooked up to the trailer with my Goat. Ah lessons learned. ;)

yup, Ford is going to coils in '05 (I have an axle for one sitting out in the shop). I wish I could post pics for proof but it's all still hush hush - the '05 superduties aren't all that different, just a face lift and interior tweaks, mostly mechanical changes to get the GCWR up to what the 3rd gen Dodges are...

that KW guy gets old, but it is funny, he's in his late 20's and still lives at home...

Glad to be part of the TDR....

You can't post anything over there without getting yelled at and called stupid. I prefer to get help. :D That board is enough to keep me from buying a Ford.

You know, I haven't read the thread over at the DieselStop, but based on a couple of comments in this thread about the Ford's going back to coil front springs, I just thought I'd toss this comment out.

My dad has a 1965 Ford 2WD 1-ton (didn't have the F350 designation back then) that he bought almost new, in 1965. In 1981, he and I swapped a Perkins I6 diesel out of a retired school bus, as well as its 5 speed transmission. That combo weighed somewhere in the 1700+ pound range. That '65 Ford has coil front springs, and no matter what engine it has ever had in it, that is the smoothest riding pickup that ever rolled down the road. Granted, it is 2WD...

I had a 1987 Ford F250 4x4 with the 6. 9 diesel, and of course it had leaf springs in front. That was a fairly rough riding truck, nothing like my dads '65, or my Ram.

I have always been, and will always be of the opinion that leaf springs do NOT belong on the front of anything!

Just my $. 02 :D

Hey Rebel... . What circuit do you rodeo in?? What Rodeo were ya at this weekend?? we went to Harper, TX, and Boerne TX this past weekend, but it was really muddy... KW is a crybaby, but let him be... he will drown himself in his own wah wahs...

Just because someone drives a Ford means they are some ignorant dummy. Same goes for Dodge owners.

My buddy at work bought a PS about a month after I got mine, and we give each other a hard time constantly. Mine is loud at idle, but his cackles. His might not have the power to make it up the hill (still stock), but mine is going to fall apart going up the hill. Friendly joking like this. Does'nt mean he's a moron. People are different and so are the choices they make when buying a vehicle.

Oh yeah, that same buddy get's a good smokin' every couple of weeks. :D

KiddieWorth over there is absolutely an idiot--no matter what he drives. I wish he'd get a GM, 'cause I don't hate EVERY Ford. I hope he never gets a Dodge.

Self-loathing -is that what they call it? That boy ain't ever going to be happy about anything, but to jump into a thread where you're not invited and run down everybody who might be interested... What a LOSER!

I'm in it for fun and fun I'm a having! Should have seen the face on the tech with the ground-pounding 650FP torque mustang--when Brent told him I made 952FP! NOW that was FUN. Oo.

Chris:

Right now I'm not running anything. Still in the learning stages and still trying not to bust my fat arse too badly ;) . My ex and all my friends all run TSRA and my buddy that's helping me with my roping ropes in the Deep South Team Roping Assoc (small association in Southeast LA and MS where I used to live). Hopefully within the next 6 months I can start roping wiht them and if I'm lucky and can meet my goals I'm going to try to do something in Tri State next year. I went along for the ride and to hang out this weekend. We were up at Lafayette Saturday night (his brother's batchelor's party was immediately after the bulldogging). Hence, the reason for sleeping in the truck all night. :D

If you guys ever make it out to hawaii let me know and we can throw a couple loops. My good friend qualified for the USTRC finals for the #4 roping in october in OKC. I may head down there with him just to watch. Rodeo is big in hawaii, BTW there was cattle and ranches in hawaii 50 years before they started in the american west! Aloha!

I think me and some friends are going to try to go to OK in October too for the finals. If I find out we are going then maybe we can have a meet up there or something.
