Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) good turbo? how much?

Its turbo upgrade time! Im thinking bout purchasing a he351 an run it for awhile. Iv been told that it makes a realy good turbo on a twin setup which is what i plan on doing soon!! The 1 im thinking bout belongs to a buddy but he no longer uses it so i need to no bout how much its worth? Its got bout 90k on it but truck has always been well maintained. Thanks a bunch!!

Many of them have fins that are melted and deformed on the back side. those 3rd gen guys run the snot out of them and brag about how they can do 500+HP on a turbo designed for far less. Think of it as a beefed up hx35/40 that spools faster and has a better wastegate. should be a good turbo for up to 400HP, bigger than that and a super B or 62mm should be considered. you can find a lot of the parts for conversion into a 2nd gen here
