I'll agree with the KO's, and many other "all-terrain" tires, being stone throwers. That is what is making me debate about going with a little more agressive tire, the wide voids on "mudders" don't pick up every damn stone out there.

Cooker,

That's what I was thinking. But the Mudders Make alot of noise at hyway speed, dont last as long, Tend to cup more often and if they do pick up a rock it is not pretty!! If you live were it rains alot the All/Terrains are far superior in the rain on pavement. IMHO :)

Thanks guys!

I bought the BFG Mudders over the weekend. Like I said, I have run them in the past on other trucks and have had good luck.

I was a bit upset at the amount of weight it took to balance most of them. I tried all the "tricks" and it still took more than I'd like to have seen.

They do handle far better than the stock tires. The back end is much more "sure-footed" now.

The Goodyear MT-R looks like a better tire than what they had in the past; but, I thought it was too new on the market at this point to trust.

Thanks again for all the input.

Yes the T/A ko's do flip a lot of stones, but i guess if I pick a few head lights then it means they were hugging my tail a little to close. They do ride well. Most of my driveing is on the hard stuff so rocks are not a big problem.

BFG's only way to go. I've run them for years, way back on my Toyota, then my Chev, now on the Ram. And only Mud Terrains. Everyone has their opinion, but out here, you're set to go where ever you want and they wear great.

I even put a set on my dad's ol Ford F250 I inherited. I love em.
