The tires on my new dually with 125 miles are rotten! I could not believe it. My mechanic has been swapping all the stuff off my 01 onto my 02. He knew I ran 80 psi in my tires. After he inflated all the tires, he notice that all the tires were weather cracked and split. I drove down to the local Dodge dealer and they sent me to the Goodyear store. I know the owner well. I asked him if he would step outside and look at my tires. He just walked around the truck shaking his head. "I will order you a complete new set" he said. I asked if they would be Michleins? He just kept walking... ... .

I have the Michelin LTX/MS and love them. You have the right idea just the wrong tire store owner. You need to find one that carries both brands and make them a deal.

The Michelin LTX/AS are better for mostly on road, quiter and a bit harder/longer lasting than the MS... My . 02 cents.

I am a Michelin man! When the dealer delivered the truck to my office, I was ok until I saw the Goodyears. I will probably have to run the Goodyears out before I can get Michelins back on it. My 00 and my 01 both came with Michelins. I am not bashing, just prefer Michelins. I think I will call the tire store again... ... .....

It is so wonderful to live in a small town and have good relationships with the local vendors. The Goodyear dealer had already called and got the price on a set of Michelins. For $20 a tire difference, I can have what I want... ... ... ... . Michelins! Which model do I want?? I am strictly a road user... ...

Go to Tire Rack on the internet and look at the LTX/MS and LTX/AS, they have user ratings and other information that will help you make your decision. I think the MS's are the better tire and wear longer and handle better. But that is just MHO :)

I got over 50,000 miles on the Goodyear's that came on the truck and most likely could have gotten at least another 10,000 if I pushed it. When I put a new set on last week I went with the Goodyear ATS for the better traction off road.

I sold Goddyears

for twnty years. I prefer Michelin. I always had problems with Goodyears and trying to get warranty from the company was a real pain. LOL

Ordered 7 LTX/AS this morning. I asked the tire dealer what he was going to do with the Wranglers? He told me he would cut them up and send them back to Goodyear. Recycle maybe?? He also told me that the splits and cracks in the side walls was just cosmetic and to drive the truck until the Michelins got here. OK with me. Hello, Goodyear Risk Management Dept... ... ... ...
