Google earth question

Is there a more current Google earth satellite program somewhere? The one I was looking at is a few years old.

If you just go to Google maps you can find up-to-date imagery, if that's what you're looking for.

If you really want to have the bells&whistles of the standalone Google Earth program, I assume the one that you find on a search is the most recent (version 4 - January 2007).

Google Earth has great resolution only in certain parts of the U. S. Downtown Boston MA is great. My town is horrible.

It is constantly updated. I've viewed areas which previously were garbage that are now clear as a bell.

I'm pretty sure Google is scarfing the imagery off Terra Server. The imagery looks the same as ArcGIS 9. 1 hot linked to the image server.



I've got ArcGIS 9. 1, Imagine 9. 1, and Google Earth. But when I want to look at something fast and simple I bring up Google Map. No muss no fuss This is sooo handy for checking out real estate or what motel I'm going to stay at with room for the dogs to take a walk.
