Google ????? How do you kill the automatic

showing you past searches - I mean when you start to type something it shows you all the candidate that start off with the letters you are searching - neat - but how do you clear it?????

What Browser are you using? Explorer, Netscape, Other?

Sounds like autocomplete in Explorer. That can be turned off in the browser settings then turned back on to clear it.

I had not considered auto-complete. I was thinking about deleting history, temp files, and/or cookies.

Did you try to highlight the entry you don't want and hit delete? That will work with some auto-complete entries.
