I looking at a new 2012 3500 meg cab dually and need a real good strong hitch. I pulling a 30ft pj trailer . Has some one had a hitch that dodge sells install yet.

I thought about the Dodge gooseneck hitch, but I checked with B&W and they said their Companion 5th Wheel hitch wouldn't work with it. Therefore, I went with the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck as well (I had it in my previous 2002 Ram, so it was a known quantity).

B&W top quality US made product. Drill one 4" hole in the bed and the rest is bolt on. Easy install. Well for goose neck use you will need to drill 4 smaller holes in the bed for the safety chain hook up.

My suggestion would be B&W - - - We are in Kansas and I took some time to stop at the plant at Humboldt, KS to see the product - -- First - - It's made in the USA - - well made looking at the welds - - - Oh did I mention it was all made in the USA?:-laf

Well thanks for all input i just to make mind on the truck. i have been looking at a lots trucks and do hitch later

Dodge uses the Valley brand goose neck hitch, It came with the truck when I bought it used. I have owned two B&W hitches before this one and I can tell you they are both rated at 30,000 and built similar. The big difference is the Dodge (Valley) uses a 3" round receiver with an offset lock pin for the ball, where B&W uses a 2 1/2" square receiver with a centered lock pin. I have the B&W companion and had to machine an adaptor to use it with the Dodge (Valley) hitch. When I bought the truck I didn't look close enough and I thought it had the B&W in it and went to put the companion hitch in and "crap, this wont work. " If I had to choose I would do the B&W just to be able to use the companion hitch without any problems.
