I tow both a bumper pull and a GN horse trailer. Have had NO problems with clearances and the cab. As pointed out by 46mech, the nose is tapered. I bought one of those pipes for my GN trailer that sets the actual trailer part back about a foot off the ball, just in case. I really did not need it as I have plenty of clearance without it. As far as the weight capacity, I haul 4 drafts up in my GN trailer - about 12,000lbs of horses alone. My GN trailer is a full 8' wide x 28' long, tapered nose at 6' front, 4 horse slant with a living quarter. My buper pull is a 6-horse slant stock trailer - about 18,000 lbs of horses when loaded. Both trailers pull without a problem and plenty of power to spare. I believe the QC bed and the MegaCab beds are the same, at least that' what the dealer told me. This is my first short bed, and I have no complaints, it is just fine, does all I throw at it. I like the wheelbase, comprable to a ext cab with an 8' bed, with lots more cab room. When the rear seats are dropped down, plenty of room to haul stuff protected from the weather. We had a matress made to fit the area and it makes a good sleeper too. So far I am very happy with the trucks performance and it is a good all around vehicle. I would recommend the MegaLimo to anyone.
