The factory 5th wheel prep works great and there are many options for good hitches.
What are the options if one wanted to install a Goosneck ball?
Is there a factory GN or some good aftermarket options and how do they mount?
Would you have to get the underbed mounts similar to the factory 5th wheel pucks or is it already there with the factory prep?
What is everyone using?

If you have the 5th wheel prep package, it already has provisions for a gooseneck ball. You can buy one from the dealer. I don't know which aftermarket gooseneck balls will fit as I tow a 5th wheel and don't use it.

Reese makes the GN ball and safety chain hold downs for Mopar. Curt also makes a set that fits. Check on eBay. I got mine for about 1/2 of the dealer price. Just make sure it's the Ram set up. The one for a Ford is similar but doesn't fit.*

Just a fyi-- dealers are very proud of their gooseneck ball. The ball, storage bag and chain connectors was about $250 when I got mine.
