I picked up my 275's from Direct Injection, Inc. The instructions leave much to be desired however as they keep refering to procedures that I do not have.

Is that PDF file still available or is it gone from circulation per DD's request.

I have found some good instructions in the archive but most still make reference to this PDF file. From all the different posts I have read, I think I can make it happen without much fuss but directions are nice.

I have the batteries disconnected, lift bracket off, and valve cover off. I'm in no real hurry, just dont want to make a mistake.

One thing I am not sure of is when I loosen the 19mm nuts after removing the blue line hold down brackets... does this bracket removal allow flexibility in the lines so I can move them back enough to pull out the fuel tube that goes to the injector... thus allowing me to pull out the injector.

I guess my hang up is what is between the 19mm line nut on the head and the actual injector... . a fuel delivery tube that lines up with the injector?

The instructions I have talk about removing the lines from the pump and I dont want to do that.

Thanks

Those are pretty good but steps 3 and 4 need some work. He says to remove the fuel tubes in step 3 then describes how to in step 4. That could make some take them out in 3 without going into step 4. In step 4, he says they must be removed, then they can be pryed out an inch, then pryed out 1. 5 cm. Kinda leaves me wondering which is best to do.

On the subject of fuel tubes, DD just says to pry the fuel tubes out with a screw driver blade while at the same time gently prying up on the injector. That worked for me. Since I knew this tube must have somehow fit into the injector, I still had no idea how far. Telling how far to pry the injector fuel tube would be a nice add. I just very (stress very) gently pryed with the bent nose plyers while prying out the tube at the same time. Then the injector easily slid up. I continued to hold the tube out until I had the injector all the way up. I guessed at about 1/4 inch. One look in the hole and you instantly realize why you are prying the tube and how far you need to go on #2 and on down the line. My tube looked fine too.

How easy is it to damage the tube?? I mean if your prying up a little bit on the injector but not prying enough on the tube, then you pry on the tube a little more and the injector "slides right out", did you cause damage if the tip of the tube rubs the injector body slightly. Are they that fragile. Or does damage basically occur when someone really prys hard on the injector and forces it out while the tube is still very much seated. Mine just came out with no resistance at all.

Tonight was a test removal on #1. I'm tired so I quit. Long day. I'll finish it tomorow. When I get done, I'll bet I could do a change in under 2 hours.
