I don't think there are too many other chassis cab owners on the TDR, but hopefully I'm wrong. I need the part number for the small (short) fillneck that comes on the truck when it is delivered. I switched to the longer one with the bend that comes in the big brown envelope of fuel filler parts, and seem to have lost the short straight one. My Dodge dealer is having no luck finding the part number, and I need the short one for my new flatbed. Does anyone know the part number, or can anyone with that fillneck check and see if there is a part number stamped into it? This should be chassis cab specific, I don't believe any pickup trucks used this short fillneck.

Thanks as always.

Don't have your part number, but have you checked with some of the local body outfitters. They usually have the new take-offs from when they install a body. May be able to get one for free. We do work for one of the companies that does conversions, bodies and cop cars, and you wouldn't believe half the stuff they throw out.

david.

on my last rig, it came with a pu bed which i removed to mount the flatbed. i just cut the filler pipe to the proper length and pluged the tube on it for the vent with a bold, and sealed it with jb weld. i then took and ran a hose from the vent on the tank to the headache rack and looped it down again and stuck a skinny fuel filter on that with a short piece of hose on the end of the filter.

my previous cab and chassis had a short pipe with no vent on the filler. it was too short so i used the longer 1 and cut it to fit and did the same with the vent hose as i did with this newer truck.

i can look around for the short filler pipe and see if i still have it and give it to you. imo it is too far under the bed and hard to reach. easy to get mud covered and hard to clean off.

The problem is that this is the filler they'd use when they install a body, and it doesn't come with trucks that have a bed from the factory. I switched mine to the long bent type when I installed my aux tank, because they work better with my temporary wooden fenders. Now I need to find the old one (and order a second) for when my flatbed shows up in a week or two. .
