I dont know if any of you have had this problem, but I think i FINALLY have this fixed. My truck has had a "heart beat" so to speak for over a year. I have tried everything from air filter, to a pusher pump, injector cleaner, and a few other things, and it never has gone completely away. Easy way to expain it, in the exhaust pipe, it would have what sounded like a heart beat. steady "bum, bum, bum" sound with ~2 secs or so between "beats" Well, while upgrading my fuel system to the Vulcan Big line system, I thought, Since I pulled the fuel filter housing to install fittings, might as well clean the MAP sensor. With the canister out of the way, its easy to get at. I pulled it (full of black crap) and cleaned it out with carb cleaner. Now, it idles smoother, and... NO HEART BEAT! Oo. I sure hope that is all it is. I was worried that maybe there was somthing wrong with the VP (replaced it just over a year ago) but I think that was the problem.
