Got a little problem

Around 1000 to 1200 rpm truck is rough ranning. Fuel filter is good, did a valves adjustment, checked timing, checked over flow valve {good}, diesel shop said it my be in the fuel pump? I use a fuel cleaner.

Mine has the same problem. I posted it about a week ago. I have went through the injectors,injector pump,valves, filters and nothing seems to help other than the injector pump cured it for a short trip then it came back. Next I will change the lift pump and try that. If you find out please let me know there is someone else with the same problem that had some input when I posted,You might check it out,it should still be listed somewhere.

You don't mean the off idle stumble that is characteristic of the '94 & '95 "small p-pumps". It would have been there from the beginning.

Well, you talk about injector pump, diesel shop said $400. 00 To $500. 00 to test the pump out? Any input on that?

You said it would have been there from the beginning, no it started this about five weeks ago. And what is a p-pump?

The P pump is the P-7100 injector pump.



Also the most I have paid for a pump on the stand is $300. $500 is out of this world. The only other thing I would think of to check is the governor springs and maybe the timing. Pump is about $1600 so go after every thing else first.
