I've got a 95 3500 I bought about a month ago and it seems to have a miss. THe truck runs good (no miss) going down the road, but if you take the load off the engine around 2100rpm's it will miss and blow some white smoke. is it an injector? I know the truck has had the fuel turned up. I don't know what size plate is in it I haven't torn into the pump yet to see. I also noticed the waste gate had been blocked off, so I'm wondering if I'm getting more air than fuel. Does that make any since or do I just need to bite the bullet and replace the injectors.

My son's 98. 5 started missing all of a sudden, and after much speculation it turned out the banjo bolt on the fuel pump had loosened and it was sucking air. Tighten all fittings then run it again!

Your running out of fuel. . You need to change the fuel filter, and then check the fuel pressure at the p pump... Injectors are prolly ok

I just changed the fuel filter. I thought the pump had been missed with, but i looked it over good today and the only thing that i could see that had been done was the star wheel had been tighten. I'm in the process right now of putting a new clutch in , that should be done tomorrow, and before i pull it out of the garage i'm going to move the fuel plate forward, and the afc housing forward. That should help right? I read some where not to move the fuel plate all the way only about 85 to 90% is that true?

You can move the plate as much as you want too. . Was the old filter dirty??? Read the following link and every sub link found in the link and you will be way ahead of the game... Bosch P7100 pump information (collected) - Competition Diesel. Com - Bringing The BEST Together

I'm serious read all of it. . You will gain much understanding on how these things work. . AFC is very important on tuning. . Good luck
