I had so many problems with the Triple Lock Transmission, that I was afraid to take my 96 out of the city limits (I spent 8K in 5 years on the trany). Its too bad that some shops are so dishonest, they don't know that they would make more money being honest and good to customers than not. I finally traded the 96 in on an 05 with 31K miles, still has some bumper to bumper warranty left which makes me feel better about it being used. It came with some towing aftermarket stuff like gauges, a BD e-brakeW/towloc, air bags on the rear axel and is way better for towing than the 96. Still, I really like the p7100 12 valve because of the lack of computers. The best I can tell, the 05 does not have any actual switches (you know, the kind are in the circuit they control) the switches on this truck tell a computer their state and the computer does something (you hope) about it. I must confess that the leather heated seats and interior is much better the 96 and this truck handels much better and has more power than I use. So far I am enjoying the new ride. I made several calls to BD about the e-brake and towloc and they were very professional and helpful, my hat is off to their support staff! :-laf
