A buddy of mine has a '95 that had a problem yesterday. He started it up and all was fine until he went to shut it off. It would not shut off by turning the key off. He had to unhook the batteries. When he hooked the batteries back up, the starter started running again. This was with the key off. I've done some searching and it seems like the fuel shutoff solenoid would be the reason it wouldn't shut off but that doesn't explain why the starter would run when you reconnected the batteries. I'm a little confused. Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks in advance.

get a diode from larry's site. It will prevent backfeed and save your starter. It is real easy to install. Just goes inline on the solenoid wire. Cheap insurance.
