Got a weird OEM modification idea today for our trucks?

Not sure if many of you know it or not, but I work for a Dodge dealer in Nor Cal and just got my new demo of which is the new '06 Dodge Caliber. I will post pictures tomorrow, but the car has a removable/ rechargable flashlight that doubles as the cars interior dome lamp. I noticed the circumfance and size of the unit and shape are identical to the dome lamp in our trucks. I am afraid to take the unit apart or do a fit test into my CTD for fear of breaking the unit, but thought if it works, it might make a pretty cool modification or retro fit. Any thoughts??

Heck, if it isn't too horribly overpriced, I'll give a go at seeing how well I can make it fit.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I carry one in the drivers door pocket and keep forgetting to check the batteries.

Sounds pretty cool but with my family it would end up MIA in short order.

Seems like I buy a new flash light everytime I need one. I have told the wife and kids many times that a flash light can be used more then once but they still seem to be throwing them away after every use. :{
