Ok, I just typed out what I thought was a GREAT post, and then my browser crashed  oh well, what can I do but type it again? Here it goes...

I have some DD1's for sale, if you are interested, PM me and we can talk prices. One thing is, I can't sell them until I have some replacement injectors in my hands, because I used my original injectors as payment for the installation of my DD1's.

I have a couple of mods to my truck, an ATS Manifold (original manifold cracked,, no warrenty they said) BHAF, a South Bend Clutch, Custom Exhaust, a PE COMP and DD1's.

I am rumored to be at 375RWHP. Max EGT I see pre-turbo is 1450*. That is WOT COMP on 5/5 and DD1's, My turbo is stock, and is in need of upgrading if I buy bigger injector's,,, and I WILL Be buying (_BIG_) Injectors. KWIKKURT? MY6EATSV8's? PIER'S? HVAC? These are the people I have on my list of "People I might by a turbo setup from"

I have raced two D-Max Allison Chebby's, whooped 'em both bad.

One truck was a 4wd Ext Cab, Short bed. We were level through 2nd gear, then 3rd-4th-5th absolutely dusted him. 3rd I immediatly got a 1-2 car length ahead, 4th I pulled about 4-5 car lengths, and 5th, I was outta there.

The second D-Max/Allison I raced is my Dad's own truck. His truck is just like mine (same setup except auto)

Same thing in the drags,, stayed level in 2nd gear, whooped him from there on out. 3rd pulled ahead, 4th pulled farther ahead,, 5th, and I was outta there.

The DD1 is an excellent towing injector, it adds +55RWHP and alot of power on the low-end 1,000-1,900RPM.

They do not smoke once the stock turbo has spooled up, even with the COMP on 5/5. SO if you are towing, and have your foot on the floor, it doesn't "smoke like a coal train" going up hills.

At intersections taking off WOT, or going WOT when the turbo has less than 10 pounds of boost will result in a one-lane diesel smoke could, from ground level to ~10 feet high.

PM me if interested.

Anybody out there have any (_BIG_) injectors, say custom injectors,, Supermentals, or BD5's.

Also anybody know where, or how much for some (_BIG_) injectors, say 125-175HP+ (200HP even ?) injectors.

PM ME!!!

BTW, with DD1's and a PE COMP you will need a new clutch. I suggest the South Bend Clutch MU 0090 Con OFE.

check out some pictures of my DD1's and PE COMP in action. .

Holy Cow....175-200hp injectors?

Now your cooking with butter Merrick. I think you need to get in touch with Dave Mitchell, seriously. I think I will get a set of injectors from him for dynoing, and draging. Might even get a twin set up. :D

TDK you say it in such a bad way... :D

Say it with me,, I wil not always use all my HP available,, I will not always use all my HP available. :D, yah, whatever. .

www.enterpriseengine.com ?

I'm gonna be making a few phone calls see where I can get a good deal, and what the "Big Respected Names" in the HP Wars recomend for me and my use of my truck.

Merrick, I see big black cloud of diesel in your future  . The showerheads rock, pick your flavor and enjoy the ride :) . The BD 5's list at $995. 00, I got them through Auto Wurks for $495, with the trade in of my step 3 injectors. Give Mike P. a call at his shop to see what he can do for ya (973) 226-7800.

Task, depends on how much HP you want. Guessing that you know already that the transmission will need upgrades. I have a TST box piggybacked to the EZ, but if your after high HP and want a neater install, the Edge comp. maybe the way to go as it's a 'all in one box' (timing and heavy fueler). Personally, I like to make the bulk of my HP with the injectors and the EZ, the TST is for play only and I seldom crank it up for the fear of taxing the injection pump beyond the demands I have already placed on it. You make the call but I would try it with the EZ first before you spend more $$$ on another box, as you maybe more than satisfied with the EZ and stage 2 injectors.

I see you are from S. Jersey... any fall out from the fighter that crashed . It looks like the GSP was a mess !!!!

P. S. Why do I have all that white space around the pic?

Thanks scott,

I thought about it last night,I guess I will just keep the EZ for now, after hearing about pump stories. I know I will wind up selling it to one of the guys at work after I get used to the power. :D

As far as the parkway I am a little north of that and I am off till sunday,24/72 Thank god,I hate that road.

Did you install your own injectors? Mike

Still like my EZ.

I had to hook up to a little 16' bumper pull stock trailer this morning and deliver it. I timed my 40-60 several times before the EZ. Empty rolling on flat ground in 4th 40-60 would take 8. 5+ seconds. This morning I timed it with the trailer on and it did it in 7. 66 seconds. Last night I timed it empty and it went 40-60 in 5. 9 seconds. I like it so far. I just installed the elbow, have not driven it since then.

I've had the EZ on for about 20000mi. of towing around 10-12k. I'll echo what was said above, usually can do the same hill in one higher gear. I think the reason some are seeing a decrease in mileage is the fun factor. I know I just want to use that extra power all the time so the go pedal is pushed harder hence lower mileage. I can't say I've seen a decrease, but also can't say I've seen an increase either. I think it primarily depends on your driving habits.

Mike, I didn't install the injectors myself, I wanted to see them done right first so they were installed by Chris T. at Auto Wurks, with me B. S. ing his ear off and watching and learning at the same time. Learned a bunch and had a good time as well. Always a positive experience at Auto Wurks.

Scott W.

scott,

I did not buy my injectors from them, I got them from piers, thought autowurks sold B&D and bullydog stuff,so it looks like I will try it myself. thanks for the info, mike:eek:
