Alright, there's an MP-8 coming in the mail. I won it in the drawing (THANK YOU TDR!!!!!!). I'd really LOVE to run it right now but i'm hesitant for a couple of reasons. Maybe you guys can clear up some questions i've got. How much HP can I expect to see stacked with the Smarty Jr? I'm also a little nervous to run it on the stock injectors because after reading some posts from some of you guys, it seems like it'll eat the stock injectors alive after a while. Not to mention that I don't have gauges quite yet too. What do you guys think? Should I run it now, or wait til I can get the gauges and aftermarket injectors?

Congratulations on winning the draw! I've been running the MP-8 with stock injectors for awhile with no problems, but I do so knowing there are injectors in my future (don't need a fortune teller for that!). I keep it pretty low, and off in town... the other tip is that I hear the dial is not linear. I assume you are wanting new nozzles/injectors in the future too otherwise you would have not entered the draw - so, use em up and have fun during the countdown. the MP-8 is my absolute favorite mod, it makes the engine run so nice and get smooth power between shifts. I would actually worry more about the transmission than the injectors - good luck!!!

Congrats on winning the prize! Oo. ;)

From what I remember if you keep it under 40% you should be ok. Hopefully your truck will have a little better injectors than the ones that caused all the problems.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've got the 48re, and that was another area of concern. How much power can these auto's hold before things start to break? Also, you guys wouldn't happen to know what kind of power I could put to the ground stacked with the jr?

Which ones caused all the problems?

Congrats EArp, Have fun.

i have a mp-8 but i don't use it all that much. I mainly use it more like you would use NOS just for a quick easy bump in power when its time to play. it does tens to be hard on injectors though.

How much pressure does this add since everyone is so worried about injector tips? I have a RP gauge and the truck has hit 26k many times over its 102,000 miles of its life. The Banks has way more pressure and also sooner and smoother than my Smarty does, I miss it. Might be a good add then for me.

If your worried don't run it past half with the JR.

Well then I though JR did. It says right on the TS website that the RP will not exceed 26k. I'd run it as high as you want, play with the settings and go with what you like. Just be careful if your hauling heavy or something like that to turn it down.

I also noticed that the TS website claims the MP-8 is undetectable, do you guys know if this holds true? I've had visits to the dealer with my jr with no problems, but what about with the mp-8?
