Just a little tip, When you pay ticket pay with money order for $3. 00 more then charge and when they send you the check for over par tear it up throw away... They then can't close file and will not post on driving record til file is closed... loop hole :)

doesnt work in these parts, ive tried many times. they keep ALL your money and you still lose ALL the points... .

now, if you go to court on the day stated on your ticket and talk to the crown pros. supposedly you can plead no contest, pay the fine and keep your points... ... ;)

after getting 2 tickets in the last month worth close to $300 i may try that approach, or go for the "uncalibrated speedo" method. theres a speedo shop not too far away that will put your vehicle on the dyno and crank out an official looking document stating how far your speedometer is out.

good thing i havent changed the tire size after putting on the 37s & i know this method works first hand... .

can you defer the ticket. Pay a little more and not get caught within what ever the time frame is that the attorney gave you and the ticket will drop off with no points. Get caught and both will bite ya.

In this neck of the woods having an inaccurate speedo is no defense for speeding :-laf :-laf

Last year we lost another one... R. I. P. Carlsbad International Raceway. In San Diego County, there has been such a problem with street racing it has become illegal to be a spectator or to just drive through the industrial park areas at night time that were known for racing. They do have racing at in the parking lot of the Charger's football stadium: www.racelegal.com

And this year will be the end of LACR. Lease is up and the construction co. wants the dirt underneath it for making concrete. Nearest track now is 2 hours or more away. Not likely that meny folks will travel that far to settle a bet.

I tend to agree with JasonCzerak. Ya, Street racing is dangerous and not a great idea, but with Calif enacting laws to dictate behavior on a minute by minute basis, and less and less places to go to settle up, it's no wonder kids are ending up in jail for serious crimes.

I find it tough to believe that Cummnzpwer has "NEVER" succummed to the urge to "KILL" the little smart *** punk who thinks his ricer is so much better than our trucks. Not even once???? Riiiiiiiggggtttt!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

I vaguely remember Mike sliding a plate on a newbies truck from central Cali (Greg) and me adding a K$N cone filter at Palmdale many years ago and watching him doing Smoke displays trying to keep up with me ;)

I thought i heard my ears ringing! :-laf ... I am guilty of street racing MANY times, i am no saint. . don't misunderstand me on that. I have gotten older and wiser since those days. . i do have enough power still to get in trouble but I know the consequences. Having payed $250/month for insurance for over 4 years because of Speeding/Exhibition of Speed tickets and blown up 2 different trucks; my wrists have bled enough to know better now. Bob, those were the good old days i will never forget! Oo. I have a feeling with all the illigitimate redheaded stepchildren we have on TDR now we won't be enjoying the full enjoyment of the diesel sport very long. :(

Still the good ol' around my house with the Ford diesel my dad has. can you say 90 downhill with a strong tail wind! 'Course its made it to 250K, hopefully my Cummins makes it that long. I definitely have enough money in it.....

my luck the clerk will not accept the money order for payment because it does not match the balance owed... wonder if you could mail it in as soon as you get it and then you could check the status of your case so to speak before your court date.
